ABOUT US
Dubai Irish Football Club, founded in 1997, is the oldest amateur football club in the UAE. Formed by a group of proud Irish expats 'operating' out of The Irish Village, they recruited players from far and wide who shared a common love for football. It began as a one-team footballing 'home-from-home' in the middle of the desert and hasn't stopped growing since.
27 years, and many trophies later, DIFC, fondly known as the 'Green Machine', now has over 120 adults and 750 children (girls & boys), from over 60 countries, proudly wearing the green jersey each week. Our mission is to provide a fun and inclusive environment for players of all ages and abilities to develop their football and foster a sense of community through the beautiful game.
Dubai Irish FC is a non-profit, community-based club competing in the Dubai Amateur Football with a pathway from under 4 to professional level.

What makes this story even more unique is that the Club is run entirely by volunteers who unselfishly dedicate their own free time. DIFC currently has over 150 volunteers keeping the green machine well oiled.
​
In 2023 DIFC were granted a license by the UAE FA to enter a team into the national Third Division. Sean O’Shea, arguably the most qualified manager in the country, holding the UEFA Pro License, was appointed as Head Coach and he immediately went to work assembling a high-quality squad full of ambition.

OUR GROUND
Dubai Irish FC is located in the heart of Dubai at Al Habtoor Polo Resort. Our state-of-the-art facilities include multiple grass pitches, clubhouse, restaurants & bars. This venue gives us the opportunity to foster a vibrant football community where players can relax and socialise after games and training sessions.

The prospect of utilising this iconic venue fills the Irish with immense enthusiasm as it promises to revolutionise the football experience for our players, parents and dedicated supporters. Moreover, this collaboration allows DIFC the unique opportunity to unite the entire range of teams, from under 4 right through to the professional team under one roof.
FEES / SCHEDULE
Please note - registration for all boys groups is closed until next season. Registration for all girls groups is currently open.
